Silver Rose is living her life’s dream of being an expert on positive personal development and relationships in the workplace. Her interest in human relations comes naturally and began when she was simultaneously a 20-year-old executive secretary to the governor of Nevada and state coordinator of the National Organization for Women. Silver’s been speaking out on relationships for a long time!
In 1998 she founded Silver Rose Enterprises, LLC, her human resources educational company. A member of the National Speakers Association and the Society for Human Resources Management, she is also a founding member of the United States Women’s Chamber of Commerce.
Silver doesn’t limit herself to simply being an in-demand keynote speaker, workshop leader and personal and executive coach. She delivers teleseminars nationwide and is an internationally-read Internet columnist, publishing the free personal development weekly Change Your Focus, Change Your Life! She has been an expert source for national radio programs, for publications such as HR Magazine and The Arizona Republic, and a contributor to The McGraw-Hill Training and Performance Sourcebook, widely regarded as the bible of the training industry.
In all her writing and speaking, Silver draws on insights hard won as an executive recruiter in the technology and IT fields, as a corporate vice president of HR service sales and marketing, and not least, as a trained former stand-up comedienne. She honed her wit in the same improv workshop that launched Robin Williams, John Ritter and Penny Marshall.
Silver has written three books of humor. Her favorite is Women Who Joke Too Much, an anthology of witty observations by women entertainers. She’s happily working on a fourth book when not busy volunteering as president of the Branch Development Board of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix.
Her proudest accomplishment is having adopted and raised (as a single mother, no less!) two at-risk teenage daughters, now thriving young working women. In her speaking and training Silver often interweaves poignant stories about this adventure and of her personal triumph over a career-threatening depression.
Silver has worked with clients across a wide spectrum of industries, with emphasis on the health and medical sector, the hospitality industry and public employers and non-profits. Below are just a few of the organizations and corporations where she has spoken or led workshops. At all of them, she has helped make a lasting difference that inspires people to say, “Thank God it’s Monday!”
